Maintenance updates (minor enhancements and bug fixes) are released relatively frequently - perhaps every 1-3 months. These are always free, and will be installed automatically provided you have internet access and auto-updates are turned on.
Major upgrades introduce important new functions, or support for new hardware or Windows releases. If a major upgrade is released within 12 months of your initial Topshare purchase, you will be entitled to the upgrade at no cost. Otherwise, upgrades will be available for licensed users at a 50% discount to the cost of a new license.
