Topshare V2 Database Updater

This program is used to convert your V1 Topshare database to the new V2 format. You'll need to use this if you are upgrading from Topshare V1 to V2.

Installer for Topshare V2 Updater. Click the link and choose the Run or Open option. Once the installer has completed, you can run Topshare Importer at any time from the Start menu (Start|Programs|Topshare|Topshare V2 Database Converter.)

Topshare Importer

TopShare Importer is a utility program specifically designed to import portfolio information into TopShare. Use this if you already have portfolio data stored in one of the compatible portfolio-management programs. It will help by transferring your portfolio data to TopShare without the need to re-key all your transactions.

The current version of Topshare Importer can import from the following portfolio management programs:

  • Portfolio Reporter (© My Computer Company Pty Ltd)
  • StockEasy (© QuackSoft Pty Ltd)

Important: the current version of the Topshare Importer can only be used with Topshare V1. So you'll need to download and install Topshare V1 (see below), then run the Importer, and finally use the V2 Database Updater program (see above) to convert your new data to V2 format.

Topshare V1

This is the final release of Topshare V1. We keep the download available here because, until we upgrade the Topshare Importer program to run on Topshare V2, you still need Topshare V1 to do a data import from Stockeasy or Portfolio Reporter. But for most purposes, don't use this - get Topshare V2 from the "Topshare program" link, left.

Topshare V1 Utility

This program is now obsolete - it is only of use for Topshare V1

This program can perform repair and maintenance tasks, even when problems such as missing files or misconfigured database prevent the main Topshare program from starting properly. The following functions are supported:

  • Backup and restore of portfolio database
  • Permanently change the on-disk location of the portfolio database
  • Solve Paradox / BDE Lock issues
